Adrian grew up in Colorado’s front range and moved to Leadville in 2006 to attend Colorado Mountain College. Beginning as a homebrewer in 2008, Adrian quickly found his passion in the marriage of science and art that is brewing and fermentation. He started brewing professionally at Periodic brewing (Leadville) when they opened in 2015 and, although he made his first mead in 2009, he began experimenting full-force with honey fermentation in 2019 and won several medals in homebrew competitions before taking steps to open a meadery in 2021. Adrian believes that with modern techniques, we have the ability to create new and exciting flavors based on an old standby, “honey wine.”
